Privacy & security
Last updated: March 2026 - because your pan card photo and signature are personal, we built the tool around absolute privacy.
Your images never leave your device
The pan card resizer runs entirely in your browser. When you select a photo or signature, no file is uploaded to any server - not even temporarily. The resizing, DPI adjustment, and compression happen locally. We have zero access to your pictures.
📌 1. No server upload - local processing
Our core feature: the pan card photo resize tool uses JavaScript (Canvas API) to process images directly on your computer, phone, or tablet. We do not maintain any image storage, temporary copies, or databases. Unlike many online tools, we deliberately avoid any backend that could log or inspect your personal images. This includes both the 213x213 photo and the 400x200 signature.
🍪 2. Cookies & analytics (anonymized)
We use Google Analytics (with IP anonymization) to understand aggregate traffic patterns - e.g., how many users access the pan card resizer, which device they use, and rough geographic region. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors. No image data, file names, or personal identifiers are ever sent to analytics. You may block cookies via browser settings; the resizing tool will still work perfectly.
Opt-out: you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
📊 3. Data we collect (and don't collect)
- We do NOT collect: your images, file names, EXIF data, IP addresses linked to specific uploads, or any personal information.
- We may receive: anonymized analytics (page views, referral links, browser version). This helps us improve the pan card resize experience.
- No login, no email collection: we don't ask for your email to download the resized image - it's instant and frictionless.
🔄 4. Third-party services & links
This page contains links to official portals (NSDL, UTIITSL) for reference. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We also use Google Analytics (as mentioned) and host the site on reliable infrastructure. No third party has access to your images. We do not display ads that track you.
🧠 5. Why “client-side” matters for PAN card
A pan card photo contains biometric-like information (your face) and your signature is a unique identifier. Sending them to a server creates unnecessary risk. By doing everything offline, the pan card resizer eliminates the possibility of data leaks, unauthorized sharing, or misuse. We designed it with privacy by design.
📁 6. Local storage / cached files
While processing, your image is temporarily held in your device's memory (RAM) and drawn on an HTML5 canvas. Once you download the result or close the tab, the memory is cleared. We do not use localStorage, IndexedDB, or any other persistent storage for your images.
📧 7. Contact & data requests
Since we hold no personal data, we cannot provide copies of “your data” - there is nothing stored. If you have questions about privacy, feel free to contact us at help@pancardresizer.cc. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
⚖️ 8. Children's privacy
The service is not directed to individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child has provided images (which we don't collect), they should know that the processing is local and no data is retained.
🕓 9. Changes to this policy
If we update this privacy page, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the main pan card resizer page. We encourage you to review this page occasionally.
✅ Summary: your privacy is our foundation
No uploads, no servers, no image retention. That's the pan card resize promise. You can verify by using the tool offline (disconnect WiFi after loading the page - it still works!).
