🗜️ 5. File size & compression

Our tool attempts to keep the photo within 20-50KB and signature within 10-20KB as commonly suggested. However, the actual file size may vary depending on the original image complexity, colour depth, and your browser's JPEG implementation. We recommend checking the final file size before uploading to official portals.

📐 6. DPI & pixel dimensions

The tool sets the image DPI metadata to 300 (photo) and 600 (signature) as per standard PAN specifications. However, some browsers or operating systems may ignore or alter DPI metadata. The pixel dimensions (213x213 and 400x200) are always enforced. It is your responsibility to verify that the uploaded image meets the receiving portal's requirements.

Government agencies (NSDL, UTIITSL, Income Tax Department) occasionally update their image requirements. While we try to keep up, we cannot guarantee that the tool reflects the latest specifications. Always cross-check with the official application portal before final submission.
